Construction Site Cameras in Geelong and the Surf Coast

The Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre has transformed the waterfront, GMHBA Stadium's redevelopment is complete, and the Barwon Women's and Children's Hospital is under construction beside University Hospital Geelong. The Spirit of Tasmania now sails from Corio Quay, and upgrades to the Geelong rail line are gradually shortening the Melbourne commute.

Housing growth dominates the workload. Armstrong Creek in the south is planned for more than 50,000 people, and the Northern and Western Geelong Growth Areas around Lara and Batesford will eventually house more than 100,000. Torquay and Ocean Grove on the coast, and the Deakin Waurn Ponds precinct, keep the Surf Coast and Bellarine busy.

Geelong shares Melbourne's grey winters and adds the wind — exposed growth-area sites on the basalt plains north and west of the city cop the full force of the westerlies, and Corio Bay funnels cold southerlies through the waterfront.
